During my time in British Columbia with Moondance Adventures, I had the incredible opportunity to co-lead groups of 12 middle schoolers on 14-day high-adventure camping excursions. Each day was filled with thrilling activities like rock climbing, hiking, whitewater rafting, surfing, paddleboarding, canyoneering, and kayaking, all set against the stunning backdrop of Vancouver Island's rugged wilderness. I was responsible for managing a 15-person van with a trailer, ensuring our group arrived at each destination on time while coordinating meal preparation and maintaining organization and safety. Additionally, I completed a media apprenticeship where I captured dynamic content of our adventures using five different cameras. The engaging media I produced not only showcased the breathtaking experiences we offered but also contributed to the company's marketing efforts. This role allowed me to blend leadership with creativity, deepening my appreciation for the natural wonders of British Columbia and the impact of storytelling in adventure travel.
